It is basically regarding Compact Video Cameras that are targeting online users. YouTube, Facebook, Blogger, MySpace, Vimeo etc.
To be totally honest, i am pro FLIP. My issue with our Product Manager (and product managers in Kuwait in general) is that most of them are so focused on the big brands, Panasonic, Sony, Sharp, etc, that a lot of the times they miss out on the small "Trendy" products.

When i opened the box, first thing that came to my mind was "too many wires"

Its not too large by the way, it is still considered compact, but i dont think i can fit it in my jeans pocket. (Maybe dishdasha pockets, possible lol)
Honestly, i didnt like the feel of it,
Flip with the USB thingy out
Honestly, i didnt install the software with the SDR-S15, it was too much work :/
Anyway, i honestly feel that if your main aim is to shoot and share online then Flip is better. But if you're not too concerned about online sharing and would rather have more functions like Auto Focus, Face Recognition, etc. then Panasonid SDR-S15 is a better choice.

Both are ok, but i prefer the Flip one, it is more attractive and ( paparatzi Perfect ) if you get my saying :-)
The Panasonic one is for the ones who want more features and complication.

From the two videos posted, I'd go with the Flip device. I understand about the 'too many wires' issue. I swear, I love technology, but sometimes I find that I am sick of dealing with so many cables!
