Sega HomeStar Pro Review

I'm reviewing a product that although its been available in Japan for quite some time, its not very popular in Kuwait. I believe we brought 50 pieces and were all sold out.

Its the Sega HomeStar. It projects stars on your ceiling...

let me be very honest here... its the best gadget i ever bought!

I love the stars and gazing at the night sky. Granted that no simulation can beat the real deal but it is better than nothing. Kuwait's sky sucks big time.

The first time i tried it, i couldn't sleep... looking at the stars made me so relaxed and at peace and my eyes were very heavy, but i resisted strongly shutting them because the scenery was so beautiful.

here... you can see and judge for yourselves :)

They have other products in the range.

This is PURE, its the most simple and cheapest

This is SPA, it floats on water and has many modes.

remember the post about my office curtains?

http://www.azizaan.com/2009/06/good-or-bad-decore.html

Well i heard back from the printers that the pictures i gave them are not high resolution and wont look nice if enlarged. So they gave me a book. And i am down to 2 choices...

please help me choose one :D

I have 7 curtains in my office.

I just can't imagine how all those HELLO KITTIES will look on my curtains

Starbucks revisited

Before you begin...

If you haven't read my first Starbucks Restrooms post, please read it here

http://www.azizaan.com/2009/06/starbucks-restrooms.html

I went back to Starbucks today.

Let me just say...

I hope i don't get sued :-S

but something had to be done right? ;)

Please Note : I, in no way, condone the act of defacing public nor private property.

What i did was a act of kindness :P and i was, and still am, prepared to pay whatever fee it requires to bring a new door plate thingy to starbucks... I might actually visit them next week and tell them it was me :-/

Also, a few times after that, the staff of starbucks used the bathroom, and i checked before i left... no one cleaned or removed the marking... so hey! :) lets see if it is still up there next week LOOOOL

Do it at home!

I love this campaign, its everywhere in Japan's metro.

hahaha truly "zero tolerance" attitude.

You WANNA eat chocolates? DO IT AT HOME!
You WANNA hug your girlfriend or boyfriend? DO IT AT HOME!

we need this in Kuwait.

You WANNA drive crazy? DO IT AT HOME!
You WANNA through trash outside your car? DO IT AT HOME!
You WANNA be a jerk? DO IT AT HOME!

PS. is it just me or is that guy in the back a bit creepy in a funny way? the eyes... lol

Zain's latest campaign

Nice going Zain...I congratulate Zain for going with this advertisement concept.

I'm always happy to see companies brave enough to produce advertisements referencing something else. This campaign is referencing the "See No Evil, Speak No Evil, Hear No Evil" from the 3 Wise Monkeys proverb.
Of course this ad doesn't require much thinking to tie up the reference and i wish i can see more "smarter" ideas in Kuwait's media world... but still... its a good start i believe.

I think the company that is daring enough to put ads that might catch only the more educated and are passed over by 50% (less or more) of Kuwait's population might be targeting a small niche market but I guarantee you that, people love companies that acknowledge their intelligence.

I "borrowed" the Zain ads from http://www.4thringroad.com/?p=4838
and I'd like to thank them for it.
